Rolling my head in the direction of the voice that just spoke my maiden name, I came face to face with none other than Luke Wellington. Utterly surprised by his presence I quickly tried to regain my composure, “It’s actually Savannah Worthington,” holding up my four carat diamond ring and matching wedding band I flashed it in front of his face and smiled, “I got married a little less than a year ago, so did Brooke.”

Luke smiled, reaching up to run his fingers across my cheek and I shuddered at his familiar touch, “I heard the two of you settled down, and with none other than our biggest competition, Worthington Squared.” Winking at me as his hand lifted his drink to his mouth.

“We did, Brooke and Josh are so in love, they’re even expecting a baby. We are so thrilled for them; all she talks about is being a mom.” I took a sip of the delicious rose colored drink that filled my champagne flute.

“And what about you,” Luke asked, “are you happy too? Will you and Jake be bringing a baby into the world anytime soon?”

Taking in a deep breath I pondered his question before answering, “Of course I’m happy, I love Jake, he is perfect, it’s just…” Faltering slightly I tried to form the rest of my sentence.

Luke’s eyes peered into mine. He may have turned mine and Brooke’s lives upside down, but regardless of all of that he still knew me like that back of his hand.

“What is it Sav?” He probed, sounding concerned.

Standing up I leaned in and hugged Luke tightly, “I’ve got to run; it was great seeing you, Luke.” Rotating on my heels I darted out before he could say goodbye and hustled back toward Hourglass to retrieve my car. Praying for the sake of my own relationship that this was as close to Luke as I’d ever be again.

My Review:

Let me start by saying this is my first M/M romance novel. I got sent the invite for review and thought that is something I haven't read yet let's give it a go and I am glad I did. I was a little apprehensive at first because I didn't know what I was getting my self into, but with that being said I simply loved this book and am glad that Kindle was my first.

The chemistry between the love interests is very evident and you can feel the angst and anticipation between them. Mitch was my fav. What can I say I love a smart mouth on a man and he has just that.

While Mitch is trying to solve this case in Dallas he stays with Colt and Jace. They go out to let loose and while Mitch wasn't looking to meet someone he may have met Cody. We get to see these 2 alpha men try to fit  a relationship into there already crazy lives. Oh and did I mention that the sex is hot in this book.

Kindle did a great job in telling this story and thank you for being my first experience in the M/M romance world. I will def be reading more in the future.

I absolutely LOOOOOOVED this book.

There are very few books that you come across that make you wanna break down and cry, laugh, get all giddy when something good is happening, make you scream things like I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING, OMG I'm going to beat his ass (lol!) and melt your heart all at once. That is exactly what this book does. It is the highly anticipated 2nd book in the Buried Secrets Series.

LBTS picks up right were CIC leaves us. You know the part were you were screaming NOOOOOOO and going to throw your reading device because Silla left us in her web with the worlds biggest cliffy to date. Yeah that one. But boy was LBTS worth the wait. If I could go back and unread it just so I could read it again and experience it again I would. It just wrapped me around it's little pinkie and didn't let me go. Let's just say I grew a major crush on one of our boys ***Coughs Luke*** in this book (boy is he a kinds of swoon worthy. Just sayin)and that little Heidi Jo makes your heart melt while keeping it sassy. As for Carly Jo, Savannah And Colton well you will just have to read it to find out.

Seriously get your tissues, wine (or drink of choice), and be prepared to have your world changed forever. Go one click it now.

My Review

First off I love a good MC book and this series has a different spin on the normal MC books out there.

I really enjoyed getting to know about Mattie and Jo in the first book ABM. The first book gives you the back round about their relationship and how it evolved from friends to lovers. Jo has been through the ringer with a divorce looming and a best friend turned lover that is keeping secrets because he is afraid he will lose her.

We get the continuation of ABM in Honey Whiskey . We get a lot of answers we want to know from ABM. In book 2 we get to know more about the Bastards, how they work, and what they represent. You will also get to meet each of the members and get to know more about each of them.

These first 2 books will take you through the beautiful love story of Mattie and Jo. Carina has a way that makes you feel like you just want to hold on and never let go.

Honey Whiskey can be read as a standalone but if you are anything like me. You will want to read Always Be Mine first. I love having back round to a book and that’s what you get with ABM.

These books will defiantly be recommended to all my book girls and followers. Carina you did an amazing job of having me fall in love with the characters in this book. Although they are rough around the edges you can’t help but to love them and feel what they are going through as you read these stories. I can’t wait to read Rockers book and the rest of the series. Can’t wait to see what the Bastards have in store for us.

About the Author:

Kristin Mayer is a wife, a proud mother, and a full-time Analyst and Import Manager. Since an early age, she has always enjoyed reading and writing. While visiting her father one weekend, he suggested that she should take up writing again. With family and a career, she didn’t give it a lot of thought, until a story entered her mind and wouldn’t leave. It just kept forming and developing over a couple of months.  At the beginning of 2013, she decided to sit down and write it all down, but she kept it to herself. One sentence developed into two, and before she knew it, she had the makings of a novel. Kristin tries to live life to the fullest during every moment. She loves to travel and meet new people. I am Megan Noelle! I have been writing for many years and currently have two books out that are part of a series. My For You series were the first novels I published but I had to stop everything to write Stefan and Grey’s story in, A Broken Forever. I have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen and finally pursued my dream of becoming a novelist. Writing is my passion and I am all for following one’s passions! One of my other passions is being a mom of my adorable daughter Peyton. When I’m not writing I’m a stay at home mom and a full time student. I’m getting close to finishing my 2-year degree and I am more than ready for a break. Lisa backed off, making sure to get more than an arm’s length from him.  “Braden, I’m sorry, but I’m not interested in you that way.”

“With all due respect, Ms. Taylor, your eyes and your body say you do.”
“Pardon me?”  She wouldn’t have responded had she not been so totally caught off-guard by his comment.
“Your pupils are dilated; you’re breathing like you just ran up the stairs; your cheeks are flushed; and...”  His own darkened eyes dipped down to her breasts.

“‘Once?’”
He chuckled.  “Yeah, I know.  I was a brat.” 
“And what’s that got to do with my wanting to crawl under a rock and die right now?”
“I’m thinking of one tantrum in particular.  My dad was giving me shit because I had a hard-on, which, of course was my body’s involuntary response to certain stimuli.  It happened a lot back then, and dad never missed an opportunity to call me out on it.”
“Asshole,” she muttered.
“That day, the stimulus occurred when Jake was grabbing at you, trying to get you to pick him up.  Your bikini top slipped for a second, and I got my first glimpse of a nipple.”  
“Oh god,” She gasped from a mixture of embarrassment and something else.  
“Five minutes later, dad caught me starching a sock and decided to be a complete dick about it.”
“I’m sorry,” she winced.  “For what it’s worth, though, I appreciate your telling me.  Nobody’s ever starched a sock in my honor before.”
He laughed at her.  “Yeah they have, trust me.”
Lisa felt her face flush.  “Oh.  Well, no one else ever told me about it.”
“Maybe no one else has been out of his skull in lust with you for half his life.”  He took a deep breath at the same moment Lisa lost all ability to breathe.  
“Braden, I’m beyond flattered, but there’s Jake... and everything else.  You know this can’t happen.”
His eyes and voice were dark as sin as he inched closer, “I know we’re both adults, both single.  I know I’m dying to touch you.  I know I can make you feel good.” 
“Are you trying to kill me?” she whispered.


Review: This book was quite the little surprise. I sometime buy books by the cover and to be honest this book may not have been one I read if not for the tour.

I enjoyed this story because it is a little out different from the normal romance I read. Yes I like steamy little books and this book is just that. It has the best friend, the off limits relationship and the hot steamy sexiness a book should need.

Julie did a great job with this book and finally putting a normal girl in the spot light and making it ok.
