Blurb

SWIPE LEFT.
That's all I did. A few too many glasses of wine with my best friend and the bitch convinced me to go on one of those dating websites.

A one-night stand.

A booty call.

And you know what? It.was.amazing.

I spent all night in a sexy stranger's arms, hot and sweaty, until it was time to sneak out and do the walk of shame back to my apartment.

I never thought I'd see sexy stranger again, and I was totally fine with that - until my mother's wedding.

She's getting remarried, see. And sexy stranger just happens to be my new stepbrother.

All the wine in the world isn't going to make this better.

Excerpts (Use as many or as few as you like)

EXCERPT #1

He doesn’t let me finish. He lets go of my wrist and grabs my hips, lifting me up onto the bathroom counter. My breath catches in my throat as my shoulders collide with the mirror. He’s kissing my neck, his hands all over me, and I wrap my legs around his torso and run my hands through his hair.
“I don’t want to be doing this,” I gasp, but we both know that’s not true. And he’s not technically my stepbrother yet.
step fuck teaser 3.png

EXCERPT #2
He starts to unbuckle his pants. “You want me to fuck you?”
           “Yes.”
He pushes his pants down. “Say it.”
“I want you to fuck me.”

**Below Excerpts were released in the excerpt reveal**

EXCERPT #3
I’m reaching for a napkin when I see that Jai is on the other side of the table, helping himself to a generous portion of the oysters.
“You know what they say about oysters,” he says. I pretend I didn’t hear him, but when I look over, he’s staring right at me.
“What?” I hiss. “You think you’re being clever? You think you’re going to impress me with that totally unoriginal line, like I’ve never heard that oysters are an aphrodisiac? That’s not why I took some—I happen to like how they taste very much and as a poor college student, I can’t afford to eat like this!”
He’s still staring. At my chest. Then the smirk returns. “Might want to pull up that dress, Janet Jackson.”
“What?” I look down. My left breast has completely popped out of the top of the dress, my nipple there on full display for anyone who happens to be looking. “Shit!” I try to stuff myself back in the dress, dropping the plate of salad and oysters in the process. “Fuck!”
“You know, they’ve got things you can paste on in these sorts of situations.” He reaches over and picks up the wayward oysters and puts them back on my plate.
“I’m not eating those,” I say. “I need to talk to you.”
I wriggle my shoulders and try to get myself as secure in the dress as I can before I hurry around to the other side of the buffet table. “I need to talk to you over here.” We go to the back of the restaurant, near the hallway to the bathroom, and I strategically place myself behind one of the columns that keeps us partially obscured from the rest of the restaurant.
“Imagine meeting you here,” Jai says, a slow grin spreading across his face. “I really had no idea. No idea at all. I knew I was going to be getting some stepsisters out of this blessed union, but I really had no clue—”
“Are you fucking kidding me? You expect me to believe that? You’re a fucking dog. A total fucking asshole.”
“I really do like the scarf. And the dress, too. You should’ve left the tit out. You’ve got great tits, you know.”
“I do NOT want to talk about my tits!”
“That’s certainly not the tune you were singing last night.”
“Do you realize how not funny this is? What a complete disaster this is? OUR PARENTS ARE GETTING MARRIED. That means we’re going to be brother and sister.”
Step brother and sister. There’s a difference, darling.”

step fuck teaser 6.png

EXCERPT #4

He brings his hand up and starts to touch my hip but I slap his arm away.
           Don’t touch me!”
He looks at me intensely. “You know you want me to.” His voice is low, a cross between a whisper and a growl. “You know you’d like nothing more than for me to take you right here, rip that tiny fucking dress off of you, and fuck you senseless. You know you want that. And so do I.”  step fuck teaser 5.png

My Review: These books are well worth the read. They are short , hot and you can read them in a couple hours. I love that even thought they are short they tell a story about finding love in unexpected places.

Jai and Emma meet one night and have the most amazing night of hot passionate sex they could have imagined. But what they didn't know is that things were about to get way more complicated then both of them wanted. Can they put what their one night of hot sex  behind them or are they going to make a go of things and make it work?

Make sure you have time to read them all because once you start you won't want to stop. ~Mel

wet KINDLE Synopsis Doughnuts were her weakness. If Sadie Mullins hadn’t been running on the beach to burn off the calories from her doughnut addiction, she wouldn’t have noticed the man not moving out in the water. Wouldn’t have dived in after him. Wouldn’t have met West Montgomery. The cocky bastard should have been thankful, grateful even. Of course, he wasn’t. That should have been the end of it. Excerpt

Our second date kind of sucked. Yeah, it was fun to sit on a barstool and stare at West and watch his ass shake when he mixed cocktails and bent over to scoop up grog. It was far less amusing watching all the ladies, and I use that term loosely, offer themselves up to him as not-so-virgin sacrifices. The Wreck clearly did not have self-respect on tap. I sighed as a girl just happened to spill her drink down her shirt. A sheer white tank top. Her big doe eyes widened as she pressed the cocktail napkin to her breast, rubbing at the damp spot until her nipple hardened. Oh, look! West had more napkins to save the day. How nice. West sent me a pained look and rolled his eyes. The girl looked barely legal as it was. It was like a guppy taunting a shark. Stupid girl. Sharks like to chase their prey. Needing a break from all the calculated desperation clogging the bar area, I escaped to the bathroom. The stall I picked had a working lock — thank God for small favors — and I forced myself to take a deep cleansing breath as I sat there. Okay, yeah, that was poor planning on my part, since the bathroom reeked of covert cigarettes, drugstore perfume, and stale urine, but it was the thought that counted. Like the rest of the bar, the bathroom was covered in graffiti. I never understood how people always just seemed to have Sharpies handy when they felt like marking their territory. I looked over the scribbled messages that peppered the wall. Ohmygod — West lives up to the hype, every inch of it! <3 Jaymie Wyatt is mine 4ever. The mine had been crossed out and Kim’s was written above it. Right below that it said, Kim’s a slut-faced hoebag. Huh, eloquent. Several seemed to echo the popular sentiment, West is so hot. I spotted a bubble-lettered, Theo is a sweetheart, which probably wasn’t what he was hoping the girls bathroom said about him, considering the other notes about male anatomy it was tucked between. But what started to piss me off was the drawing of an erect cock with the words, West and life-sized scrawled next to it. Other inscriptions saying, agreed! and totally! and yum! had arrows pointing to the image. The artist was accurate too. Whoever the slut-faced hoebag was. I did a quick survey of the other wall of the cramped stall and saw my date for the evening was the star attraction and, boy, did he shine. Just as I started to flush and rearrange my bikini bottoms under my dress, I heard two sets of footsteps echo off the stained concrete floor. “Amber, did you see that hopeless blonde that’s been hovering at the bar all night? I think West feels bad for her or something, he keeps going to check on her.” “Yeah, but I asked him about it. He said she was his date!” Her sarcastic tone conveyed how ridiculous she considered that. They snickered and the sound of running water gurgling in the sink did little to muffle their words. I stilled, shamelessly eavesdropping. “She doesn’t even look like she’s taken a shower today.” “I know! And her skin looks creepy under the lights! Maybe West had too many shots or something tonight. He has better standards than that. It’s an insult to all of us who’ve come before her.” They dissolved into laughter, and the water turned off. “Let’s try offering him a combo. He’s gone for it before.” “Mmm, you know I love a good BOGO deal, Tipper. It’s worth a try. I think his date’s disappeared anyway. She must have gotten the hint.” Their laughter faded and a hollow thunk of the door closing signaled their exit. Wow. Just — wow. My mind whirled, and I was annoyed I hadn’t been able to see them through the crack between the stall door and the wall. How many other girls out there had already screwed my West? I made a face as I flushed the toilet, berating myself for letting things with him go past a quick fuck-and-duck. I finished adjusting my admittedly wrinkled dress, opened the stall door with more force than necessary, and peered at myself in the crappy mirror. What the hell had that slut said about my skin? Oh. Oh! I looked down at my arm, pressed the fingers of my other hand onto my skin, and let go. Five fingerprints glowed white before returning to an angry, lobster-red hue. The skin around my eyes seemed okay, thanks to the protection my gold-rimmed aviators had provided, but the rest of me looked almost fluorescent, like a raccoon in reverse. My hair was crinkled like old straw, frizzed and barely contained by my sad excuse for a braid. I might have been so caught up in West earlier that I had forgotten sunscreen. And to look in a mirror once we got off the boat. Maybe. Possibly. No wonder those girls had been mocking me. I looked like a hot mess. Like, roasted. Running a cautious fingertip over my shoulder, the tenderness of my skin confirmed the extent of my sunburn. I needed to roll like a pig in a puddle of aloe, stat. The time had come to call this date a failure and make a quick exit, only I didn’t have my Wrangler. We’d dropped off the dog and picnic supplies at West’s place and come straight here in his oversized truck. Twisting to see the back of my head, I finger combed my hair as best I could, letting it fall around my face to try to hide my Ray-Ban tan lines. Then I took the coward’s way out and sent West a text that I wasn’t feeling well and was taking a cab back home. Slipping my tote bag over my shoulder, I skirted the perimeter of the bar, escaping out the front doors without looking back. I was standing on the front sidewalk and searching for the number of the cab company on my phone when it was suddenly snatched right out of my hands. I gasped, taking a step back, and tucked my bag to my side. “Running away?” How the fuck had West gotten out of there so fast? I dropped my gaze and let my hair hide my eyes, trying to disguise the worst of the damage. “Yeah, I think I got a little too much sun,” I mumbled, not wanting to meet his eyes. Even though it was after eight, the sun was just beginning its descent, and there was still plenty of daylight. He hooked my hip with his hand and tugged me closer. Using his free hand, he tipped my chin up, exposing my face. Eyes widening, he touched my cheek with the tip of his finger, wincing as he removed it. “Shit, Sadie, you’ve got to be in pain. Hold on, let me tell Wyatt I’ve got to get you home.” I snorted. “Wouldn’t you rather stay here? I’m sure there are other toys you can play with instead.” “What the fuck are you talking about?” “Amber and Tipper would be more than willing to entertain you tonight. Together.” West glanced toward the bar then back at me, annoyance splashed across his face. He moved closer, invading my personal space, and loomed over me, his eyes flashing gray storm clouds, but I stood my ground, refusing to step back. “I’m two inches from the person I want to be with tonight. Two inches. And I’d be happy to erase those two inches if you’re still not clear on that.”   Wet-teasers-2   Review   Playlist

My 5 star Review: Some times you need a little Spark to start a fire.....That is exactly what this book does. Ryder and Hadley's story starts on this slow burning spark and by the end of the book it's a full blown steamy fire that will ignite you. I really enjoyed watching their relationship come full circle and the development of the characters and story line in this book was amazing. You get to see some of what they went through in the past and what has made them what they are today when they come back into each others life. With lines like this..... "I should be pissed at the sight of her, but all I feel is relief at finally seeing her again." ~ Ryder “Oh no, Spark. The first time I get myself between those sexy ass legs of yours again I won’t be fucking you. I’ll be worshipping you."~Ryder you can't help but to be a pile of mush for Ryder. Hadley didn't stand a chance of keeping those walls up and Ryder out. I’m tired of you running, Hadley. You’re not leaving until I’ve convinced you that my heart only beats for you and then once I’ve done that I’m going to fuck you until I’ve fully satisfied your body.” His fingers lower to my cleavage. “I can tell, even mad, how turned on I’m making you.” there was know way Hadley would be able to keep Ryder out. This is a emotionally beautiful love story and Amy Marie has done it justice. I can't wait for more from her.
Undeniable - Excerpt
“Do you love him?”
She takes another shot of tequila but still answers. “I thought I did, but is love supposed to be this hard?” she asks before her attention is directed to the door where a few others have come in. She looks down at her phone and frowns. I want to reach over and kiss her sadness away.
“Well,” I start to tell her. “I’ve only ever been in love once so from my experience no… but it does make you vulnerable enough to have your heart ripped open.”
A snort escapes her. “I know how that feels, Ryder. You don’t have to tell me how that feels.”
“So, if Braden ripped your heart open then why are you with him.”
“No, not Braden. You.” Her words cut me to my core. “You ripped my heart out.”
My stomach twists in knots. I did everything but hurt her. Yes, we kept it a secret but I never did anything besides love her and make sure she knew that I did. Hadley was my world and when she left it felt like I was stranded in the middle of the ocean with no paddle in my one man boat.
“Well, you ripped mine out too,” I tell her before taking another shot. I know she is open, answering questions, but she can’t just put all the blame of what happened on me. I didn’t leave her without any idea of where I went. She left me and she left me broken. “But unlike you I haven’t been able to have a normal working relationship since.”
Her eyes lift to mine hurling daggers at me with each second that passes by. Throwing her hands up her voice gets loud enough to draw attention. “Normal? Is this normal to you? My “normal” relationship is hanging on by a thread right now. And you…” she points at me, “ever since you came back it’s like that thread is rapidly unraveling!”
I quickly jump out of my side of the booth and slide into her side. Her eyes grow wide and she cowers into the back of it. Every inch I move in she pushes away until her back hits the wall and her knee comes up to block me. That one sentence, that one beautiful sentence has given me what I didn’t even know I needed to hear.
Leaning in as close as I can get without tasting those beautiful lips of hers I whisper, “Maybe that should tell you something, Had. I make no apologies for unraveling you and now that I know I’m helping dwindle the flimsy string that is holding the joke you call a relationship together,” I breathe in closer. “I plan on watching it fall to the floor and then I’ll secure you with nice, strong rope. Tie us up so tight you can’t move…not that you would want to.”
Her body shakes but not from being scared. It’s quivering. I’m making her quiver and her labored breaths are causing a stir behind the zipper of my jeans. If she wasn’t taken I would claim her mouth once again.
She doesn’t say a word but just stares between my lips and my eyes, her tongue coming out to wet her mouth. She wants me to kiss her.
Fuck it.
I lean in, pushing her erected knee into her chest. Her breath hitches as I bring my hand up to her cheek, caressing it softly, her head falling hesitantly into my palm. Bringing my lips closer she rewets hers, and I take that as my cue to grab the other side of her face and pull her towards me. Our lips just millimeters from one another, our eyes locked on each other.
I pull on a tendril of hair. “I miss the red. It suited you.”
“Ryder,” she whispers, the alcohol from her breath intoxicating me.
“Hadley,” I breathe back into her.
Her eyes blink back a tear and it breaks my heart. “I loved you.”
Taking another move getting so close I can feel her lips graze mine as I say, “I loved you more.”
