BLOG TOUR ~ UNMISTAKABLE by Gigi Aceves

SYNOPSIS:

As a child, Roxy Oliver experienced her first heartache resulting in her trusting only a few…

As a man, Cody Davis experienced many deaths while serving in the Marines; however, his greatest grief was when two of the most important people in his life died, resulting in him needing to be in control….

Both lost the same thing…

Felt the same pain….

Suffered the same fate…

The loss of LOVE.

Finally, destiny’s smiling their way as love blossoms between them. When danger comes knocking, threatening to destroy what they both hold dear, is it an unmistakable love when he’s willing to give up his life for hers, or is that control?
Isn’t it an unmistakable love when protecting him is the only choice she has, or is
that trusting no one, but herself?

So, when everything’s left broken….

Will control prevail over trust, or will forgiveness be the road that leads them to their unmistakable love…

“Love always protects, always trust, always hopes, and always perseveres.”
 1 Corinthians 13:7

Roxy’s POV

“Baby girl, I hope, someday, you’ll have it in your heart to forgive me. I can’t undo what’s been done; it’s too late anyway. Life is full of limitations and restrictions, but what I can give you is freedom from the hell I’ve created. You’ll have a better life living it away from me…far away from this.”

As soon as I hear my door close, I know who to call. I’m tired of all the lies, deception, and conditions. With a shaky voice and a hopeful heart, I call the one person, the one family member, who loves me unconditionally.

“Uncle Jack,” My hurt filled voice manages to say two words. That’s all I need to say.
His confident voice never wavers, “I’ll be there, kiddo. You trust me?”

“One hundred and ten percent,” I say with as much conviction as a child my age can possibly conjure.

“Outstanding! I’ll see you soon.”

At such a young age, I lost trust, not in love, but in people. How could I not? When the two I’ve grown up with webbed a life full of deception, my own father put conditions on his love for me, my own mother doesn’t want me, I lock my feelings tight, secure them with all of my ten year old strength, and time it shut with my not-so-innocent-from-pain heart, telling myself to never…ever let anyone in.

Not even death can make me open it ever again.

Even though my heart is in the state it’s in, a small part of my heart tells me that when God closes a door, He always…always opens a window; small enough to breathe…wide enough to escape…just enough to live, and just the perfect time to start. My new beginning is with the only four people I know I can trust…with them I’m safe, loved, and free. I’m free to be me.

The love they offer is without restriction…it’s genuine…it’s undeniable…it’s unmistakable.

My Review: This is such a phenomenal series. When I was sent the invite I was a little hesitant because I didn't read the first book and didn't know if I would have time to read both before the tour. Well I read both and couldn't put them down. I was reading when I was in the car on the way to shopping with my husband. My husband at one point said to me those must be good books because you are ignoring me. I tried my hardest to put them down and do something else for a little bit but I just couldn't. Let me start by saying the stories are just so good. I love a good book that likes to torcher me in a good way. The boys in these books are perfect book boyfriend material. In Unmistakable we get to explore the relationship between Cody and Roxy. We met them in Unbreakable. I was excited to read this story because I wanted to see where things were going to head for these 2. They both have stuff from the past they hold on to and somehow think its better to work them out alone then together. That's were these two find it hard to make it work. Cody has control issues while Roxy suffers from abandonment issues. While at times you want to take these characters and shake them to wake up, you just can't help but to fall in love with them. I also love the spiritual message in this book and before you get all I hate when authors put stuff like that in a book I want to add that I am not church going girl and thought the message was a good one. Youcan be from any spiritual backround to get what the message is in the book. no the whole book is not about that and it's about Roxy and Cody's relationship and the trials and the road they have traveled but I think Gigi did a great job of adding a little something extra to appreciate. So if you are looking for your next read go pick up this series.

I’m a middle child, and no, I don’t suffer from the middle child syndrome. According to my parents, I’m the craziest, and I think, my husband and children agree with them.
Besides the births of my two children, my husband’s successful transplant is one of the most memorable moments of my crazy life! After dealing with two bouts of cancer, my husband served as an inspiration to me and my children. I’m privileged to be married and go on this crazy ride, we call life, with a man who doesn’t know the meaning of giving up.
I’m known as The Crazy Cat Lady, in the Wanted World. Am I crazy? Well, the jury is still out on that one, but I’d like to think I can make one person smile with my craziness.

Release Day for Presently Perfect by Alison G. Bailey‏

SYNOPSIS:

Perfection is an illusion fueled by the perception of others.

****

Tweet was my heart, my soul, and my purpose.
She was my everything.
Neither of us were perfect. We both made mistakes. Looking back, that was okay, because every choice brought us to where we needed to be at the time we needed to be there. The one constant, our love and friendship.
There are two sides to every story and I wouldn’t trade our sides for anything in the world.

Here's the GR link for Presently Perfect

A large hand came down and landed on my shoulder, causing my umpteenth beer to slosh over the sides of the red cup. “What the fuck?”

I bounced slightly when Travis plopped down on the sofa next to me. “Hey buddeeey. How’s my buddeeey?” he slurred, sliding his upper body along the back of the sofa closer to me.
I glanced over and threw him a lazy smirk.

With a cocked eyebrow and lopsided grin, he informed me, “I gotta surprise that’s gonna make that smile and other parts of you grow bigger.”

“You’re making me really uncomfortable,” I said, leaning away.

“There are two lovelies that want to spend time with our pulsating masculinity. Their names are Heather and Melanie.”

Travis’s head flopped to the side, his gaze and wave aimed at a cute blonde and brunette standing across the room.

“They’re all yours, buddy. I’m not in the mood.” I downed more of my beer.

His head rolled back toward me. “Heather won’t leave Melanie. They travel in pairs. I want to get my hands on Heather’s pair, so you get in the mood.”

“I’m sure your immense charm will pry her away.”

“Come on. Be a friend.”

“Sorry, not tonight.”

Glaring at me, he bit out, “Not tonight… then what fucking night? I’d like to put that date on my calendar so I can stop wasting my time.”

“What’s your problem?”

“You’re my problem. You and this pussy-whipped, no balls, coochie slave attitude you’ve been sporting around for months instead of a rock-hard dick.”

“Fuck you! You don’t understand.”

I pushed off the sofa, stumbling a few steps toward the back door. I needed some air and to get away from Travis’s bullshit. The room spun, and then I spun as Travis grabbed my upper arm, turning me to face him.

“I understand. You’ve been hung up on this fucking girl ever since I’ve known you.”

My fingers curled into fists as I got in his face and snarled, “Don’t you ever refer to her as this fucking girl.”

Travis took a step back, ran his hands over his face, and huffed in frustration. “What’s the deal? I thought I was finally getting my friend back. You see her for like two seconds today and it sends you into a fucking tailspin. You gotta get past this.”

I could see the sincerity in his eyes. He wasn’t telling me these things in anger or because he didn’t like Tweet. He knew I was in a constant struggle and he was being a friend.

“I’m trying,” I whispered.

“Try harder, dude.”

“I don’t know how.” It was pathetic how weak and defeated my voice sounded.

After seeing Tweet earlier, the rest of the day had been spent replaying the few seconds encounter over and over in my head. She looked incredible except for the sadness in her eyes. A pang of guilt pinched my stomach because I was glad to see that sadness. It meant she was as miserable as I was. She disappeared in a flash but I didn’t need a lot of time in order to take her all in. Her hair was that summer mixture of dark brown and gold. The light sprinkle of red across her nose and cheeks was either a result of being at the beach or seeing me. I hoped it was the latter. She had on a plain white tank top and a pair of black shorts that were molded to her adorable round ass. Tweet was the only girl I knew who could wear the plainest clothes, little makeup, and still look like a supermodel. The memory of her hips swaying back and forth as she darted away had my dick twitching. I turned from Travis and headed out the back door, needing that air more now than before.

Once outside, I propped myself up against the house, closed my eyes, and sucked in all the oxygen my lungs could handle.

I need to get her out of my head.

There were a few people hanging out around the pool so I concentrated on them. That was a dumbass move because most of them were hooking up. Sounds of kissing, moaning, giggling, and more moaning filled my ears. I shifted my attention to the sounds coming from inside the house. Another dumbass move. The only thing I could hear was the pounding music, which made me think of Tweet’s swaying hips, which made me think of grabbing those hips and pounding into… I had to get out of there.

As I shoved off of the wall, the back door swung open, Travis stepped out, and headed over toward me.

“It kills me to see you like this.” He paused, his eyes shifting from me to something over my shoulder. “I didn’t want to say anything because I don’t play into the rumor bullshit.”

“What are you talking about?”

His expression showed how much he was struggling with whether or not to continue. “I heard Amanda is hooking up with some guy.”

My brows scrunched together as my jaw went slack. A small chuckle of disbelief escaped me. “Why are you telling me this?”

“Because I care about you. You’re like a brother to me. Noah, stop pissing your life away waiting for something that’s not gonna happen.”

Glancing away, I shook my head, and said, “It’s a fucking lie.”

“How do you know?”

My eyes pierced his. “She wouldn’t do that.”

“Why not?”

“Because she’s my Tweet!” I screamed.

Out the corner of my eye, I could see the people around the pool unhooking from one another.

“She’s not your anything! When are you going to get that through your fucking head?!”

I lunged forward, landed both hands on Travis’s chest, and shoved. He stumbled back, but made no move to come after me.

“I’m not going to fight you, man.”

“Who’s the no-balls pussy now?!”

I shoved.

He stumbled back.

Party people scattered into the house.

“I’m sorry,” he said, his voice full of pity.

I shoved.

He stumbled back.

And then I tackled him to the ground.

I landed one hard punch to his jaw before he flipped me onto my back, wrapped his massive arm around my neck, and held me down. I jerked and twisted for several seconds trying to break free of his hold. Finally, the alcohol and pain took over and I gave up.

Pressing the heel of my hands into my eyes, I choked back tears, and mumbled, “We’ve shared all our firsts together.”

My Review: I always thought there would be one fighter that did it for me and that's it. Well boy was I wrong. Gabriel " The Saint' Vega blew my other fighter right out of the water. He has all those good qualities that we look for in a book boyfriend. At least the ones I look for. First and foremost is he an Alph? Check. Is he kinda bad ass? Check. Does he have a soft side? Check. Does he fight for what he believes in, even when it means putting others before himself? Check. Gabriel has had a hard life but through it all he had Frankie his trainer. That is until one woman walks into his life and flips him on his ass changing everything he thought he knew. This is defiantly a series I will be recommending from here on out. Once you start reading I dare you to try to put it down without thinking that you need more. I read both books in 3 days and am still feeling them because when you think of things that happen in the book you can't help but sit there and just let it replay in your head. Especially when you hear a song that reminds you of the book. Here is my song that reminds me of Gabriel and Say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crrOl0egI00&feature=player_detailpage#t=32 I want to thank Christa for letting me be a part of the tour.

Grace:
A few seconds later, Noah’s phone beeped. He pulled it out of his pocket and smiled when he saw Grace’s text.

“Now you have my number. I’ll um, talk to you later then?” Grace asked as she began taking a few steps backwards.

Noah nodded his head and winked at her. “Most definitely.”

Turning around Grace and I began walking back to the houses. “Oh my gosh, Grace Johnson. Who is he and why have I never heard about this Noah?”

Grace chuckled and brushed me off with her hand. “Honestly, I never thought I would lay eyes on him again. I ran into him as I was running after Alex, he knocked me down, helped me up and we exchanged names. That was it.”

“Well he certainly remembered you.” I turned to look over my shoulder. “And he is staring at your ass as you walk away.”

Colt:
“What do you mean Colt is moving in here?” Lauren asked as everyone looked at her. The smile that spread across Colt’s face for a brief second was caught only by me. He looked back down and sent someone a text.

Alex looked at Lauren and then Colt. “Marie James told me you took her out and y’all had a great time. She seemed to be taken with you.”

“Huh, interesting,” Colt said as Lauren looked at him.

“Wait, you’re moving in here?”

Nodding his head, Colt answered Lauren without looking at her. “Yeah, Lauren I am.”

He stood and pushed the stool back. Taking in a deep breath he blew it out. “Speaking of Marie, I’ve got plans with her so I guess I’ll see y’all around.”

Colt started to head to the door when Lauren got up and turned toward him. She began to follow Colt and it appeared she wanted to say something. Finally she was going to talk to him. Lauren was about to say something when she stopped walking. Looking away from Colt, she turned and sat back down.

Stupid. So fucking’ stupid.
